Saturday, May 3, 2014; Mural: It’s up to us, 2512 Clark Avenue: In an August 2012 article published in The Tremonster, a Tremont newspaper, artist John Rivera-Resto, who designed the mural, describes how the work, titled It’s up to us, began in June of 2012. That summer, high school students participating in the City of Cleveland Bureau of Cultural Arts’ Mural My Neighborhood program went through rigorous training in order to help with the ambitious project. In The Tremonster article, Rivera-Resto described the work as “a highly detailed, two thousand square foot mural.” Work continued on the project last summer. Staff, of the medical office building where the mural is located, said they expect work toward completion of the mural will continue as soon as the weather permits.
