
Tuesday, May 6, 2014; Missing Persons Awareness Day on Seymour Ave., 1-year anniversary of escape on Seymour Ave: Irene Garcia releases a balloon saying she wants to show her support for those that were held captive here and express her appreciation of the strength they have shown. Garcia, who lives in the West Boulevard neighborhood near where Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus were abducted, says, “If it were my girls, I know I would never give up looking. Gina’s Mom gave me a lot of inspiration. I will admire her forever.”
