PHOTO BY CHUCK HOVEN Saturday, November 14, 2015; Lincoln West High School, 3202 W. 30th: Lincoln West 12th Grade students Marc Vazquez and Damaris Lopez work the concession stand selling cupcakes, cookies, rice and beans, empanadas, hot dogs, fried chicken, pop and water. The money raised from their sales will help to pay for a trip to Veron, Dominican Republic for twelve Lincoln West seniors. The twelve students will participate in a community service project in Veron, Dominican Republic where they will help out a school called Villa Esperanza. This community service project is part of their Senior Capstone project under the direction of teacher Mrs. Robin Guerrero. The trip is scheduled for late January of 2016.
