Plain Press, December 2015 At the November 3^rd Election voters in Ward 15, Precinct M approved a local option for a liquor permit for Brewnuts donut bar at 6501 Detroit Avenue by a vote of 210 – 41. They also approved a local option for Sunday sales at the same location by a vote of 197-55.

The vote will allow the Brewnuts to sell beer and liquor as well as its beer-flavored donuts when they reopen their shop in the space that once served as Councilman Matt Zone’s office. Brewnuts, owned by Shelley Fasulko and John Pippin, previously had a location in the Tremont West Development Corporation building on Professor Avenue in Tremont.
