Voinovich Innerbelt Bridge gets nearer to completion. A “Topping Out” ceremony held near the end of June marked the completion of structural steel erection on the second new George V. Voinovich Bridge. The Ohio Department of Transportation is replacing the 1959 Interstate 90 Innerbelt Bridge with a pair of new bridges named in honor of George Voinovich.
