Monday, May 29, 2023; Memorial Day Hike on Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park – near Hunt Farm Trailhead: Samuel Lord, Matthew Nicholson and Max Faass are marching 22 miles carrying forty-pound packs to bring attention to the need to address the high suicide rate among United States veterans. The trio of friends, who are members of an Ohio Army National Guard unit headquartered in Stow, Ohio, said the twenty-two miles commemorate the twenty-two United States veterans who commit suicide each day.
