To the editor:

   (Plain Press February 2025) My primary concern regarding the Old Brooklyn Community Development Corporation’s Pearl Memphis Project is the destruction of the old burying ground which likely still has pioneers interred upon the site. The plans, from what I have seen, are calling for the complete removal of that green space where they are interred.

LETTER

   I intend to cover the story in an upcoming book called ‘Lost Cemeteries of Northeast Ohio’.

   I will include not only the history of the site and those interred there (including a Revolutionary War veteran), but also what happened to it, as well as the process by which its ultimate destruction was done.
