Saturday, January 18, 2025; Variety Theater complex at W. 119^th and Lorain Avenue: A January 13^th article in Crain’s Cleveland Business by Dan Shingler titled “Cleveland’s historic Variety Theatre again up for sale” indicates the property is listed for sale. Owner Kelly Flamos purchased the property in 2022 and shared her vision for the property in an article in the October 2022 Plain Press titled “New owner of the Variety Theater shares her vision for its future”. At that time Flamos hoped to raise funds to transform the former theater into a performance arts venue and a community events and private events venue. She also planned to rehabilitate the 13 apartments and eight storefronts in the complex.
