Pavlich says her company, based in the city of Detroit, donates one coat to charity for every coat it sells. She says Continuum Energy, a natural gas supplier, helped to sponsor the coat giveaway. The Newcomers Academy at Thomas Jefferson has many students new to Cleveland that arrived here from countries all over the world. Many of the students have never lived in a cold climate.
