(Plain Press, January 2015) Lincoln West High School students, faculty and staff helped to make Christmas special for children in the Clark-Fulton neighborhood. A weeklong toy drive, spearheaded by Lincoln West senior Jangelis Rodriguez, culminated on December 19th. Generous donations by students, faculty, staff and community partners resulted in cash donations of nearly $400. In total the drive resulted in over 250 newly purchased or donated toys.
The Lincoln West community wishes to thank all that contributed to the successful toy drive including the Second District Police, Target at Steelyard Commons, City Life, and Lincoln West alumnus Sharlene Chesnes and her team at Interchez.
Also deserving of thanks are over twenty Lincoln West students that helped to wrap gifts in the main lobby of Lincoln West High School on December 19th.
