
PHOTO BY CHUCK HOVEN Sunday, January 15, 2107, Cleveland Collection Gallery, 2529 Detroit Avenue: Near West Side resident, Al Wasco, originated the idea for the Black and Blue Side by Side. The photography display coordinated by photographer Billy Delfs featured 29 portraits of police officers standing side by side with an African American. Photographers participating in the project were: Billy Delfs, Darlene Beiter, Janet Century, and Steve Wagner. Wasco said the project had a modest goal “to bring people together – as two people.”
