(Plain Press, June 2019) On May 21stDenison Avenue United Church of Christ Pastor Nozomi Ikuta announced via Facebook that Cleveland Housing Court has given the church’s congregation “a little more time to finish repairs.” The church, featured in a photo in the May issue of the Plain Press, is continuing work restoring the exterior of the building. Pastor Nozomi Ikuta says a fundraising website is being set up to help the church restore its facility and thanked the many supporters who are helping the congregation in this trying time.
Denison Avenue United Church of Christ is located at 9900 Denison Avenue. Its ministries include outreach services such as a monthly food pantry, general outreach with food and clothing assistance, and a fellowship lunch every Sunday after the service.
