Saturday, May 4, 2019; Cleveland Public Theatre’s presentation of Station Hope, St. John’s Episcopal Church, Church Avenue: Artist Ann Marie Suglio, owner of Praxis Gallery, dyes cloth with natural indigo. Praxis Gallery is participating in a public art project creating three sixty-foot banners designed by international and local artists to connect our history to our environment. The number of times residents dip the cloth in the dye depends on where they live. Each neighborhood in Cleveland has a designated number of dips in the dye. From June 21-24, as part of the celebration of the 50thanniversary of the Cuyahoga River fire, the banners will hang from the Detroit Superior (Veterans’ Memorial) Bridge. For more information about the project visit: praxisfiberworkshop.org/bannersJoin.
