Wednesday, May 20, 2020; W. 25th & Lorain Avenue: Construction is underway for the $175 million Market Square Project on the site of the former Market Plaza shopping center. Harbor Bay Real Estate Advisors of Chicago is building a 7 story 267-unit apartment building, a 560-space underground garage, and a 10-story office tower on the 3.5-acre site. According to a February 24, 2019 Plain Dealer article by Steven Litt titled, “Plenty to like so far about design for rare timber-frame project,” once constructed, the office tower may briefly hold the record for the tallest timber frame building in the United States.
