
Sunday, September 5, 2021, Kamal’s Garden, 4301 Clark Avenue: Haneen Abbas, a refugee from Iraq, volunteers through US Together’s Connect with Cleveland office, in a “Painting Our Neighborhood” project. She paints creative images on tires stacked around the garden. Both Haneen Abbas and her father, Abbas Alhilali, (see related photo on page 8) are also actors in the Masrah Cleveland Al-Arabi theatre ensemble at Cleveland Public Theatre.
