(Plain Press September 2026) Citizens, age 18 or older by election day (November 3, 2026), are eligible to vote in the General Election once they are registered to vote. The deadline to register to vote in the General Election is October 5, 2026.

   To register to vote, to check to see if you are registered to vote, or to update your voter registration information, you can visit the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections website at boe.cuyahogacounty.gov. Once there, click on the VOTERS heading at the top of the page. The Board of Elections website provides information on how to register, how to update your registration information, and allows you to check to see if your registration information is correct. Options offered are online, by mail, or in person.

   The site offers other options including checking your voting history and checking your ward and precinct.

   Voting for the November 3^rd General Election will begin on October 6^th. For individuals that wish to vote by mail, the Ohio Secretary of State plans to mail out Vote by Mail applications to all registered voters beginning this September. Registered voters can also vote in person at the Board of Elections beginning on October 6^th. The Board of Elections is now located at 1803 Superior Avenue.    On November 3rd General Election ballot, voters will be asked to weigh in on a United States Senate race, and United States Representative race on the Federal level.

   Statewide races on the ballot include contests for Ohio Governor and Lieutenant Governor, Ohio Attorney General, Ohio Secretary of State, Ohio Auditor of State, Ohio Treasurer of State and Ohio Supreme Court Justice.

   Local State legislative candidates will also be on the ballot. Voters will choose among candidates running for the State Senate and State House of Representatives.

   Cuyahoga County voters will weigh in on their choice of County Executive and in some County Council Districts candidates will also be on the ballot.

   There will also be judicial races on the ballot for candidates running for the 8^th District Court of Appeals and candidates for the Court of Common Pleas.

   There may also be a Cuyahoga County tax levy on the ballot.

   When the ballot information has been prepared by the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections, you can view a sample ballot for your precinct on the Board of Elections website at boecuyahogacounty.gov.
