(Plain Press, March 2018) Paid parking at the West Side Market parking lot began on February 27th. The City of Cleveland announced that the first 90 minutes of parking will be free during the hours of 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. The parking lot will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Except for the 90-minute free period, parkers will pay $1 per hour to park in the lot at a maximum of $10 per day. The business day will conclude at 3 a.m., with the new rate for the next day beginning at that time as well.
Parkers may pay by credit card at the columns as they exit the lot, or by cash or credit card at the Pay on Foot machine. Parkers will receive a ticket when they enter the lot. The ticket will be needed to pay for parking and to exit the lot. Uniformed parking ambassadors will be available during the initial period to assist customers with the equipment.
